Updates and inspiration: de Gournay, cute ceramics, uni work

de Gournay (source)
Eleonor Bostrom (source)
  • Trying to master screen printing more than two colours without giving myself a headache in the process (this is not the screen print just a quick put together of what I would like to screen print)
  • Looked into de Gournay for some project inspiration and everything they make is beyond beautiful
  • Fell in love with these ceramics they are SO CUTE and I want them all. Also makes me wish I could make ceramics (maybe in the future)
  • I've drawn so many animals today
  • Butterflies from the zoo... eating... I had to include this one because the colours matched
  • I was featured in Dazzled mag last week (click) - They post daily with interesting articles on every day life, style, music and art
  • No pancakes on pancake day
  • tired + minus energy means i am extremely happy that i get a lie in tomorrow

February: New journal and actual film swap results

I'm back at uni now the research week is over. Last weekend I went home and saw my best friend who I haven't seen in ages which put me in the best mood. We went and had some film developed which funnily enough (or stupidly, because I am an idiot) were my double exposures from the film swap which happened last summer! In this post (x) I thought that roll of film was the one I swapped. It wasn't. So when I got these back it was a nice suprise because it actually had worked and the effects are really cool! The woman in the photo place seemed worried to tell me how they came out so I think she was glad when I reacted with such excitement haha.

Finally filled my journal from September 2014 to January 2015. There were a few pages left blank but it's so hard to work on them properly when the book can't lay flat so I was ready for a fresh start. I hope I never stop because it's very therapeutic especially when I'm feeling down and need somewhere to vent.

In blogging I don't think I've ever been featured or asked questions so it was a lovely suprise to get such a kind email from Jemma. She asked me some questions and then put together this post (x). I know I'm not the best blogger in the world but being sort of recognised for my art is always awesome! I love what I do and the feedback I receive from people is just a huge confidence boost and I appreciate it all the time. (Thank you!!!)
