|New glasses- and cats of course!|
Hello! (I don't know why I put the cats in there, they're cute but not relevant.) As you may or may not be aware I have officially finished my first year of university and now my summer finally begins. In blog terms this means I now have huge amounts of free time on my hand and many ideas for posts I'm excited to write. I'm very interested in turning this space into a more useful blog rather than a "hey look at me, look at my design!" kind of thing (although these posts will still be around, there is nothing wrong with a bit of self promotion) and even though I love to see my progress with summer here I won't have large amounts of work to share all of the time anyway.
Talking about recent changes I also had my hair cut very short and choose a new pair of Barbour glasses! I was really into the circular lenses since my friends kept getting them and I am very happy with these. I don't really need to wear them all of the time, although everything in the distance is still a little blurry, however I just love them so much I can't stop wearing them. A haircut was definitely needed, It was a gross mess before and really needed livening up. It had gotten to the point where I was just trying to grow it and there wasn't much of a style... it was not good! Now it's thick and healthy and I can stop moaning about how terrible it was.
This might not be very interesting but I started to use Pinterest again: PINTEREST.COM/AMYHODKIN
I didn't used to get it but after having to research for Level 5 it really came in handy... So much art, fashion and print inspiration! I've never been so overwhelmed with research and beautiful imagery. I feel so dumb for not using it sooner.

For summer I have various things already planned like exhibitions, holidays and festivals which I'm very excited for. I also want to start making things with the dream of opening an online shop next year, selling prints and maybe some more of these guys but this is depending on how everything goes and how stressful university will be. Soon I'll be back home in Chesterfield and away from Leeds which I'm quite sad about as I'm really starting to like it here, but I can't wait to continue with the blog and record my happenings over summer!
