Hello! Recently I did an art swap with Meg (website here and her blog is here,) she sent me a number of things which reflect her as an artist as well as things I can use in my own work too. So along with a collection of her lovely prints she added a few postcards and papers to collage with which was a really really nice surprise. I love the delicate feel of Megs work. Every line and texture has been created raw and organically; there is something beautiful about touching the embossed marks and written edges and admiring the processes that produced the image.

Whilst sat in my studio space yesterday I felt very inspired to collage with the bits of pieces from Meg (including old magazine cutouts, vintage postcards, printed papers and colour swatches) so here's a little snippet of that. YES its a guy riding some sort of spaceship thing. I don't know why either.
I've never done an art swap before so I was a bit hesitant at first but It's so exciting sending stuff and not knowing what you will get in return. I hope you enjoyed looking at Megans work, you can see more of it on her Instagram where she updates pretty regularly!
