Hello, I thought I would post an update as I've been extra busy this week! I mentioned before I'm on a two week placement with Hallmark and it's going so fab I can't believe the first week is over already. There are a few other girls on placement there too which makes its so much easier and enjoyable, it can be a bit daunting being the newbie especially when the company is so huge and established.
I'm afraid I can't share any of the work I've been up to but I did draw this bear today! I've been really into wax crayons recently as they produce such a nice texture. It was nice to be able to wake up a bit later as I have to get up at six for work, I managed to decorate our bedroom a little so now it's less bare and a lot more "us". I'll have to share some pictures of our house soon, I'm still absolutely loving it here, it's just so comfy and spacey and quiet.

Tenderfoot exhibition is happening again this year for the fourth time running and I'll be displaying three of my screen prints there. The private view is Tuesday 9th from 6pm and the event takes place at APG Works in Sheffield until 13th August, it'd be lovely to see some of your faces if you live close by! There's a lot of beautiful art work from a group of very talented people, I still can't believe I get to be a part of it too.
If you haven't noticed I've been loving the new Instagram stories, it's great to get a bit more personal with the creatives I follow and I really enjoy sharing what I've been getting up to as well. I was never a huge fan of Snapchat; the design is pretty ugly, I don't like adding random people and I very rarely sent a snap to one specific person so the Instagram version is perfect for me. You can follow me @amyhodkin if you'd like!
I think that's about it from me! Having such a long summer break really throws me, I kinda can't wait to start back at university just so I can get into a routine again. Before that I'm off to Cornwall with Jake and his family again, so that will be a nice trip before my dissertation work. Two holidays in one year; what a treat!
